Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain holed parts at a high yield without second labor by superposing two or more blank metals in the axial direction of a die, heating the blank metal on the inlet side of the die to the temperature suited for warm forging and piercing this with a punch and at the same time forming a guide hole on the inner side blank surface with the punch end.
CONSTITUTION: A punch 3 which moves forward or backward along the axial- center-direction through-hole 2 of a die 1 and a knock-out pin 4 are opposedly disposed. The second biller 6 born by a pin 4 and the first billet 5 supported to this are disposed in the hole 2. The surplus height h between the billet 5 surface and the die top face is determined by considering the displacement quantity of the wall thickness owing to piercing of the billet 5. The billet 5 having a guide hole 7 in the center of the surface is heated to the temperature suited for warm forging and is pierced home by the punch 3. A guide hole 7 by the punch end 3 is worked in the billet 6 surface. Next, the punch 3 is drawn off and the billet 5 is further additionally worked as the forged product. After the billet 6 is heated like above, it is placed in the position of the billet 5 and a new billet is put in the position of the billet 6, thus the part is formed by the same procedure.
