Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the thickness of metal plating of strip so as to obtain extremely thin plating film in a high speed range, by jetting gas at the upper part of squeeze roll and blowing off sticked molten metal passing the strip pulled up from the molten metal bath between the above roll. CONSTITUTION:The strip 12 advancing into the molten metal 11 in the molten metal bath 10, is sent out upwards from the surface molten metal changing direction by the sink roll 13. Next, sent out strip is passed through between a pair of rolls for squeeze 14, 14' in vertical direction and a large part of excessively stuck molten metal is removed. Then, the strip 12 is passed through between the gas jetting nozzles 19, 19' provided on the upper part of the rolls 14, 14' and the molten metal stuck more than necessary quantity yet and the desired extremely thin plating film is obtained. Still more, the strip 12 is guided in vertical direction by the bearings 15, 15' of the rolls 14, 14' supported by the supporting frames 16, 16' and also, gap of the rolls 14, 14' is able to regulate by moving in left and right direction through the screw rods 18, 18' rotating the handles 17, 17'.
