Abstract
PURPOSE: To accomplish the smoothing of varying data without any change in the hardware by lighting a light emitting element, which corresponds to the both ends or one end of the swing of an indicator so that the cursor ring may be positioned.
CONSTITUTION: An input analog signal 6 drives an indicator 2 through an indicator drive circuit 7 and is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 8 so that it is stored in a register 9. The data 12 at the output terminal of the register 9 are those of the converter 8 one sampling time before the data 13 at the input terminal. Those data are fed to a maximum detecting circuit 10 and a minimum detecting circuit 11. In response to the maximum 14 and the minimum 15, AND gates 16 and 17 are opened, and the data 12 at the instants when the maximum and minimum are detected are fed to a decoder 19 thereby to select an LED 5 corresponding to the value of the data 12 so that the corresponding LED 5 is lit by an LED drive circuit 20. When the LED 5 at the both or one end of the swing of the indicator 2, the smoothing signal 23 can be attained if the cursor ring 3 is moved to position the cursor 4 at the center.
