Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the necessity of finishing an end bracket plate by controlling the heating amount when welding the end bracket plate to a housing material and controlling the finishing size of the bracket by utilizing the thermal deformation due to the welding process.
CONSTITUTION: When a tubular housing material 2 is welded to an end bracket plate 1, the relationship between the heating amount such as heating time and the thermal deformation amount δ of the plate 1 is investigated in advance. When welding then them, the heating amount is controlled to thereby occur desired thermal deformation at the end bracket plate 1 to thus control the size of the plate 1 by utilizing the deformation amount. Thus, it can finish predetermined fineal size even by employing the plate 1 of improper size for ready size management.
