Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain the water level of an intermediate pond and improve an operation efficiency by makihg numbers of operated units in both power plants equal to each other and continuing the normal-side operation until the water level or the water level change rate of the intermediate pond becomes a fixed value at the operation fault time of a pumping power plant.
CONSTITUTION: In case that upper-side power plant 5 is faulty, fault stop condition 12 contacts corresponding to respective machines are closed to operate fault detection relays. Next, when respective machines start operation in the operated unit number detection circuit of lower-side power plant 6, operation condition 11 contacts are closed to operate operation detection relays. Here, a keep relay operates as a storage detection relay for every machine to reset relay 12 of power plant 5. Next, an operation order confirmation relay operates. Intermediate water level detection unit 4 detects the water level or the water level change rate by confirmation, and the stop control of each machine operates. In respect to the absolute value of the water level, the operation in the normal side is continued in case of a small flow quantity and the water change rate is taken to prevent a danger water level in case of a large flow quantity, so that the safe water level of the intermediate pond is maintained, and the normal-side operation efficiency is improved.
