Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a stable solid medicine for internal use, by compounding oncostatic 1-carbamoyl-5-fluorouracils and specific additives for medicinal use.
CONSTITUTION: 1-Carbamoyl-5-fluorouracil or its derivative cabbreviated as CFU) is compounded with specific additives for medicinal use, characterized by (1) having low chemical activity, (2) having mederate hydrophilic property and reducing the hydrophobic property of the principal constituent, (3) containing no hydroxyl group having high reactivity with isocyanates, and (4) giving a neutral or acidic saturated aqueous solution or suspension. The additive is, for example, a diluent such as CMC, starchs, lactose, etc.; a binding agent such as PVA, methylcellulose, etc.; a disintegrating agent such as starchs, CMC, etc.; a lubricant such as potassium stearate, etc. CFU which is unstable in the presence of conventional additives is stabilized to obtain the title medicine which keeps its medicinal effect without lowering the disintegration and dissolution properties.
