Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a stable carrier by operating a phase demodulator without reference to an input PSK signal level by putting the phase modulator into operation by the output of demodulation of a received modulation wave by a regenerated carrier. CONSTITUTION:An output from oscillator 22 is branched into two; one output is supplied to phase modulator 23, whose output is used for frequency conversion 21 of a received phase-modulated signal, and its output is passed through BPF 24 and then frequency-converted 25 by the other output of oscillator 22, thereby regenerating a carrier of a received modulated wave. This regenerated carrier is used to demodulate 26 the received modulated wave and then, phase modulator 23 is modulated by its output. Consequently, a stable carrier with less phase skipping can be regenerated.
