Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the photosensitive printing plate of positive-positive type which has superior exposure visible image characteristic and gives distinct printed matter by containing o-naphthoquinone diazido sulfonic ester and specific triaryl methane dyes. CONSTITUTION:o-Naphthoquinone diazido sulfonic ester (a) about 5-99.9wt% and triaryl methane dyes shown by formulas I, II [R is ethyl, phenyl; X<-> is I<->, ZnCl3<->, HSO3<->, 1/3C6HO7,<3->, 1/2SO3,<2->, NO2(C6H4) SO3; Y<-> is I<->, ZnCl<->, HSO3<->] (b) about 0.1-15wt% are contained in the photosensitive layer. The photosensitive printing plate formed by providing the abovementioned photosensitive layer on a substrate (aluminum plate, plastic sheet, etc.) yields the visible images which have a deep blue color, are considerably faded in the non-image parts through image exposure and have good contrast.
