Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid lowering of the operation velocity with a simple constitution by supplying the output given from the air flow meter to the signal process circuit after smoothing.
CONSTITUTION: Output signal 23 given from the hot-wire type air flow sensor is transmitted to signal process circuit 7 via smoothing circuit 10. The signals are led into circuit 7 from clock generation circuit 9, distributor sensor 11 and crank angle sensor 14 each, and the output waveform of the hot-wire sensor is changed into nearly the linear form via circuit 10. Thus in case circuit 9 is used, the signal processing becomes possible by generating the clock signals with the time duration of a fixed interval and also taking in the smoothed signals. Furthermore, the pulsation waveform of the hot wire is led to circuit directly, and the peak and bottom value of the waveform are detected by peak detector 15. And based on these two value, the mean air flow velocity can be calculated. In this way, the lowering of the operation velocity can be avoided easily.
