Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition capable of effectively preventing its melt viscosity increase in the melt forming process to enable high-temperature forming to be carried out, by kneading polypentaerythritol together with a melt-formable vinyl alcohol copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: A melt-formable vinyl alcohol copolymer, preferably an α-olefin (3W5C)-vinyl acetate copolymer saporified product is incorporated with 0.5W20wt% (pref. 1W10wt%) of polypentaerythritol (especially pref. dipentaerythritol) followed by carying out kneading, thus giving the objective composition. The composition obtained may be subjected to melt-forming such as an injection molding.
EFFECT: Capable of continuous forming operation for many hours, also enabling conjugate spinning and co-extrusion with resins having high forming temperatures to be carried out.
