Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the area occupied by a baking furnace, cause hot air to uniformly flow in the furnace and obtain a uniformly-baked resin-coated tile of good quality, by shifting the tile from a horizontal posture to a vertical one on a conveyor.
CONSTITUTION: A tile A sent out after coated with synthetic resin paint powder is transferred onto a shifting conveyor 4 beyond the send-out end of a painting conveyor 2. When the center of gravity of the tile has passed over the send-out end of the painting conveyor 2, the front end of the tile drops down onto the shifting conveyor 4. At that time, the tip of a support arm 15 of a holder 12 of a baking conveyor 3 moving at a constant speed is engaged with the reverse side of the tile A to lift the its front end. The tile A supported in that way is moved forth and its rear end is transferred from the painting conveyor 2 onto the shifting conveyor 4. The tile is then loaded on the pedestal part 14 of the holder 12 and conveyed.
