Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture complex-foamed plastic pipes having uniform-quality foamed layer solidly sticked to pipe structure and superior in heat insulation and sealing properties by heat-moulding a foam resin mould placed between inner and outer pipes into a structure combined with the pipes.
CONSTITUTION: A foam resin, made by adding 1W20 parts by weight of a foaming agent hardly decomposed on moulding because the decomposition temperature thereof is higher than resin softening point, to 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene and polystyrene, is moulded into a sheet with a thickness of 0.1W3mm or tubular with a thickness of 0.1W1mm. One or more layers are provided on the surface of the inner tube by winding thus obtained mould, and the outer side of the layers is covered with an outer tube, and the inner and outer tubes are interconnected by heat-moulding the mould.
