Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible scanning at minute angles and with good accuracy by using a wedge-form rotating prism of a small vertex angle.
CONSTITUTION: A prism 19 made of wedge-form transparent glass or plastic of a small vertex angle α is mounted to the revolving shaft 21 of a rotating device 20 such as rotary solenoid or motor and is supported by a supporting ram 25 in the state where it is opposed to a laser oscillator 22. Then, when the laser beam oscillated from the laser oscillator 22 enters the prism 19 through a collimator 23 and the prism 19 is reciprocated at a fixed angle, then the laser beam is scanned according to the rotating angle thereof and the minute angles are scanned with high accuracy because the relation between the rotating angle of the prism 19 and the swing angle of the laser beam associates to the vertex angle α of the prism 19.
