Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize sharing for the large- and small-capacity sequence controller by installing the connection parts of plural input/output devices, the decoder, the buffer circuit and the wiring means to be connected to prescribed one of the connection parts onto one base.
CONSTITUTION: Unit selection decoder UDO and buffer circuit BFO are installed within base B of one input/output device IOO. The connection is performed by inner wiring LU between UDO, BFO and connection parts COWCn each; and decoder IOD of outer CPU is connected with arithmetic unit ALU via the connector. And the fixed connection part CO among parts COWCn is connected to the input sides of UDO and BFO each via wiring connection means LUC. Small-size CPUL is formed in almost same shape as input/output units UOWUn provided to unit IOO and then connected to connection part CO. Thus a small-copacity sequence controller unit can be formed if all connection parts are connected to the input/output units, thus the base being shared with the minimized size.
