Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce pulsating component from the output signal, by providing a capacitor connected with sufficiently short lead between last stage dinode and other dinodes thereby reducing the inductance of lead wire.
CONSTITUTION: Conductor 14 is fixed through a heat-resistant insulator foil 13 such as mica on the back of last stage dinode 10 facing with grid anode 9 and its supporting wire 15 is connected with the lead wire 5 of adjascent dinode 11. A capacitor C1 connected with lead wire sufficiently shorter than the leads 4, 5 is formed between dinodes 10, 11. Consequently total inductance of lead wires 3, 4, 5 is reduced approximately to 3/4 thereby the frequency of pulsating component contained in the output signal is increased to reduce Q thus to reduce the amplitude resulting in accurate observation.
