Abstract

PURPOSE:To let working of arbitrary patterns on the surface of the work be accomplished with good efficiency by vibrating the spherical mirror for condensing of laser light by an electromagnetic means provided with an arbitrary waveform generating means. CONSTITUTION:Laser beam 13 radiated from a laser oscillator 1 is condensed through a plane mirror 2 and spherical mirror 3 and is radiated to the work 12. When the DC current of a power source 8 is alternately supplied to solenoids 5, 6 by way of a switching device, the horizontal axes 4b of the T-form rods 4 inserted into the solenoids are alternately sucked and vibrate, thereby oscillating the spherical mirror about the axis B. The vibration patterns are arbitrarily indicated by an arbitrary waveform generator 9 and amplifier 10 and are detected by the displacement detector 11 mounted to the spherical mirror which is then feedback-controlled by way of the controller 14 of the waveform generator 9.
