Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the workability of welding of austenite- or ferrite-base stainless steel by limiting the chromium amount of the outer barrel of the ferrite-base chromium steel of the composite wire. CONSTITUTION:An outer barrel 1 is packed with ferrite-base stainless steel hoop of 15-30wt% of chromium added with fillers, whereby the fine-diameter composite wire is formed. The reason for limiting the chromium amount is because the lower limit of ferrite structure is 13% and the upper limit of practicable ferrite steel is 30% and therefore it is determined in consideration for the ease of production.
