Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a speaker system by which a highly faithful reproducing can be obtained, by controlling the sharpness of the minimum resonance and the primary high-band resonance, which is the minimum-degree axis-symmetrical high-band resonance of a diaphragm, of two fundamental resonances of a speaker.
CONSTITUTION: The primary high-band resonance is generated on the boundary between a piston vibration band and a division vibration band of woofer 1. When this characteristic curve is regargded as a single resonance curve, a desired resonance sharpness value can be obtained equivalently by restraining electrically input signals of woofer 1 at the center of the primary high-band resonance frequency. Then, the minimum resonance of a speaker, namely, tweeter 2 which takes charge of a band just above the cross-over freqneucy can be made similarly into the value of resonance sharpness equal to the equivalent value. The minimum resonance and the primary high-band resonance of fundamental resonances of the speaker are taken into design and are controlled equivalently by an electric circuit, so that this speaker can be combined with the conventional circuit. As a result, a highly faithful characteristic can be realized without trial and error.
