Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method of constructing a structure in the ground lower than the underground water level, which comprises the steps of erecting a holow pillar which is opened at the portion of bottom plate of the structure for inserting and withdrawing a water pumping means therethrough, and withdrawing the pumping means when the level of the hollow pillar and side walls of the structure becomes higher than the underground water level, whereby it is enabled to protect the structure from leakage of underground water.
CONSTITUTION: After excavating the ground to a required depth, casing 2 in the form of a hollow pillar is erected at a position on the bottom and a water pumping means 3 is inserted into the casing 2. Then, foundation 5 is constructed while pumping out underground water, and bottom plate 6 constituting a portion of structure 1 is formed on the foundation. Here, opening 7 is formed in the structure 1 for withdrawing pumping means 3 at last. Subsequently, hollow pillar 9 is extended upwardly of side wall portions 8 and opening 7, and when it has reached a level higher than the level of underground water, pumping means 3 is withdrawn to the outside through hollow pillar 9.
