Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the porous hollow fibers free from macro-voids by adding water and urea to the cellulose-ester solution dissolved in an organic solvent, extruding the solution through an annular slit and at the same time introducing the solvent or swelling agent for cellulose ester into the linear body hollow part.
CONSTITUTION: Cellulose ester, particularly cellulose acetate is dissolved in an organic solvent such as acetone and an aqueous urea solution is added to this solution to prepare the spining stock solution.
