Abstract
PURPOSE: A coating that is made by mixing a specific amount of powder of the same material as or similar one to the deposite with a solution of a solute which becomes water in soluble after dried is coated on the surface of the deposite stored in open air and dried by standing, thus protecting the deposite from water and dust.
CONSTITUTION: To a sloution usually containing 7W60wt% of water-insoluble solid components as vinyl acetate polymer or copolymer or vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, such as aqueous emulsion or solution in an organic solvent, are added 100W1,500 parts by volume, pe 100 parts of the solid components of the solution, of powdery filler that is the same as or similar to the deposite stored in open air. The particle size distribution is preferably 80% or less of sizes ranging from 5 mesh passable to 20mm in maximum and 20% or more of sizes less than 40 mesh. The product is coated by spraying, flowing, trowelling to a thickness more than 1/10 the maximum particle size of the filler.
