Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce adhesion and to protect solidification by a method wherein the surface of the ethylene resin pellet is coated with polyethylene wax having a specific low molecular weight.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of the ethylene copolymerized resin pellet or the hotmelt composition pellet containing ethylene copolymerized resin is coated with low molecular weight polyethylene wax having viscometric average molecular weights of 600 to 6,000 and softening points of 80°C to 135°C. It is general as the coating method to dip the pellet in a aqueous dispersion liquid of low molecular weight polyethylene wax. To take an example, when 1kg of ethylenevinyl acetate copolymerized resin pellets containing 40% vinyl acetate is dipped in 2kg of aqueous dispersion liquid having 1.5% by weight of solid matter concentration which disperses in the water, low molecular polyethylene wax having a molecular weight 2,000, a softening point 120°C and then the pellets are filtered through a metal net, the pellets are not solidified at all and discharged smoothly.
