Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain reduction of the number of components and miniaturization of a unit by controlling the whole optical system by providing mechanisms for focusing control and track control to one unit.
CONSTITUTION: Laser beam 14 emitted from semiconductor 12 is focused by condenser lens 13 to form a photo spot on disk 7 and photo detector 22 detect the quantity of reflected light of this. In body tube 23 where this optical system is contained, coils 17 and 18 are arranged in magnetic flux provided by magnets 15 and 16 and leaf springs 19, 20 and 21 with grooves are provided vertically and horizontally. A current varying with a relative position with disk 7 flows through coil 18 and body tube 23 moves as shown by arrow C. On the other hand, a current corresponding to a shift from a track flows through coil 17 and the whole optical system moves as shown by arrow d following the track.
