Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture light-weight belts and increase strength by arranging steel belts on both sides of a conveyor belt and connecting them laterally by means of rod elements at a constant intervals.
CONSTITUTION: On both sides of a conveyor B which is constituted of a conveyor belt 7 such as metal screen, endless belts 1 such as steel belt are arranged, and all of them are joined at a fixed pitch by rod elements 3 such as channel materials and pipes. At the end part of the rod element 3, a groove 4 is formed to form the suspending part 6 which is loaded on a driving rope 5, and the conveyor B is driven by the rope 5. The conveyor B has advantages that the width can be increased and the diameter can be reduced in bending.
