Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the air cleaner possible to clean the air at high efficiency for long hours, by arranging the cleaning zone, the adsorbent of iron hydroxides, the peculiar SO2 adsorbent, etc., sequentially from the air intake toward the cleaned air supply port, at cleaning the air polluted by SO2, H2S, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The air being medially polluted by H2S, SO2, etc., is sucked by the turbofan 9 after being treated through the external air intake 2, the prefilter 1, and the cleaning zone 3 where the air is cleaned by the cleaning water being irrigated countercurrently against the air flow and a part of H2S, SO2, is removed. Next, the relative humidity of the air is reduced by the demister 3' and the heater 4, and the residual H2S is removed by the adsorbent filter 5 holding the iron hydroxides. After that, the residual SO2 is removed by the adsorbent 6 (metal oxides of Cu-Mn group, for instance) which adsorbs SO2 and does not emit NO at adsorbing NOx coexisting in the atmospheric air; additionally, residual SO2 and NO2 are removed by the alkali impregnated active carbon 7, and thus cleaned air is sucked and sent to the supply port 10 by the fan 9 through the after-filter 8.
