Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily discriminate containers by inserting a container having a short-circuiting coil into a detecting coil constituting a resonant circuit and by detecting the number of turns of the short-circuiting coil from the change in the resonant frequency. CONSTITUTION:A container having a short-circuiting coil 2 having a different number of turns in accordance with the sample to be accommodated is inserted into a detecting coil 3 constituting a resonant circuit. Then, the resonant frequency is changed to increase the resonant current. This current change is detected by a phase detector 7 and is integrated through an LPF 8 by an integrator 9. The integrated value is fed to a voltage-frequency converting circuit 11 so that the output is fed out of a discriminating output terminal C. The output of this terminal C biases a resonant circuit though a constant voltage amplifier 13. Thus, in accordance with the output frequency at the terminal C when the closed loop is balanced, the number of turns of the coil 2 can be detected. Thus, it is possible to discriminate the container having a short-circuiting coil of different turns.
