Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The formation of multicolor images by performing correct copying necessitates satisfying the copying of single color images in the transfer position 15a of the first copying, copying of single color and two color superposed copying in the transfer poisition 15b of the second copying and 3 color superposed transfer besides single color copying and 2 color superposed copying in the transfer position 15c of the third copying and further necessitates the prevention of the reverse transfer of the previous transfer images to the next photoreceptor. In order to satisfy such transfer characteristics and obtain correct multicolor images, a preliminary voltage of 0W1KV of the same polarity as transfer voltage is charged by a precharger 33 to a conveying belt. Selecting the preliminary charging voltage in such a range and selecting a correct voltage of that time enable the high transfer rates such as the ones shown in table to be obtained.
