Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of refined sake, by keeping the heat-sterilized sake in a closed vessel containing an oxygen-absorbent.
CONSTITUTION: An oxygen-absorbent is placed in a space of a closed vessel. An inner cap 2 is put in the mouth of a bottle 1, to form a space 4 between the outer cap 3. An oxygen-absorbent 5 is placed in the space 4. The inner cap 2 is furnished with at least one small opening 6 which permits the flow of gas while inhibiting the entering of sake into the space 4. The oxygen-absorbent is preferably composed mainly of iron powder in view of the handleability, cost, and absorbability, and other additives such as salt, e.g. NaCl, activated charcoal carbon black, active clay, diatomaceous earth, water, etc.
