Abstract

PURPOSE: To commercialize trimmer capacitors of excellent quality by measuring aging variation of trimmer capacitors and evaluating their quality.
CONSTITUTION: Oscillating signals and capacitance-switching signals from oscillators 11W1n are simultaneously selected by gate circuits 21W2n which are triggered by the signal from an oscillator selection mechanism 3. Cycling periods or frequencies of the selected oscillation signals are counted by a frequency or cycling-period counter 5. At first, the oscillation frequency caused by a trimmer capacitor under test which has been operating is counted, then the circuit is switched to a standard fixed capacitor after the instant of 1msec and less, and the oscillating frequency by the standard fixed capacitor is counted after 10W20msec later. The measured frequencies are sequentially stored and calculated by a calculating circuit 6, and the results are printed by an output-display unit 7.
