Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable supply of gas with a gas valve half-opened during predetermined time before the lapse of set time by a timer in a gas instrument by providing main and sub timer cams and making a follower contact with one to the other timer cam upon revolution of the timer cams.
CONSTITUTION: When a main dial 6a is revolved to set the valve opening time of a gas valve 5, a sub shaft 7 is also revolved via a braking coil spring 8 upon rotation of a main shaft 6 in a gas instrument to cause a follower 12 to make contact with the peripheral edge of a sub timer cam 11 to thereby open the valve 5. When a sub dial 7a is revolved to set the half-open time of the valve 5, the main shaft 6 is engaged with a time counter 2 to thereby brake only the sub shaft 7 by the coil spring 8 while rotating. There exists a phase differnce corresponding to the time for half-opening the valve between the main and the sub timer cams 10 and 11 at their recesses so that the valve is fully opened initially, the follower 12 is dropped into the recess 11a during residual set time to retain the valve in half-opened state, and the valve is then closed.
