Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the opening of a gas valve in an external operation in a gas instrument by screwing a follower into a connector and controlling the gap between the gas valve and the follower by the revolving operation of the connector.
CONSTITUTION: A gas valve 5 is fully opened initially and then half-opened by setting a timer by means of main and sub dials 6a and 7a. When the gap between links 5a and 12a is shortened by the rotating operation of a connector 14, a follower 12 is floated in the amount of shortened width in the recesses 10a and 11a of timer cams 10 and 11, respectively to reduce the rightwardly moving width of the connector 14 in the amount of floated length L when the gas valve 5 is fully opened to thereby reduce the opening of the gas valve 5 to set the gas valve 5 in desired opening in an external operation to thereby open the valve for set time.
