EXAMPLE: 2-Hydroxy-2-oxo-1, 2-oxaphosphor-3-ene.
USE: Strong choline-esterase inhibiting activity. Useful as medicine and pesticide.
PROCESS: The compound of formula is prepared by catalytically reducing 3-hydroxy- 1-propynyl-phosphonic acid di-lower alkyl ester in the presence of a reduction catalyst such as Pd.C, Pd.BaSO4, etc., and leaving the produced 3-hydroxy- propenyl-phosphonic acid di-lower alkyl ester at room temperature for 2W3 days.
