Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve lubricating properties and gas tightness with properties of silicone grease maintained, by adding a specific amount of metallic tin powder to silicone grease.
CONSTITUTION: Silicone grease is flended with 10W35 wt.% of metallic tin powder having particle diameters of 10W100 μm. The blend is applied to the main body of gas cock and the sliding surface of stopper so that they slide readily. In this step, the metallic tin powder in grease adheres to the sliding surface of the main body and the stopper with it deformed plastically to form a thin layer of the metallic tin powder. The extra grease is then removed, they are coated with lubricant complementarily and assembled.
