Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the degree of freedom of design, and achieve higher separation efficiency and simpler construction by forming a raw-water-influent opening at the center of a conical part for solid discharge and providing an impingement plate in the conical part and providing influent water decelerating members on the inner side of the large circumference of the conical part.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water supplied from an influent tray 10 collides against an impingement plate 14 when its effluent velocity is high. This raw water flows down to the inner side of a discharge chute 5 and is made to finer turbulent flow by decelerating members such as baffle plates 15, 16, etc. The turbulent flow enters the raw water reservoir. The solids carried upward on the solid discharge side of a drum 1 fall onto a dehydrating blade 6, then roll on the surface of the discharge chute 5 and go out through a discharge port ring 7 and discharge tray 11 by flowing along the outer surface of a feed port cylinder 13. The separating liquid is discharged through the separating liquid effluent port 19 at one end of the drum 1.
