Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep constant the gas amount at change-over points even where variations are present in the allowance and the change-over point currents of a proportional solenoid valve and to improve the combustion condition by using a double-structure valve seat in the valve.
CONSTITUTION: The on-off operation of a gas is effected by the open-close operation of a main valve 1, and the minimum gas amount is determined by a bypass passage 2. A proportional solenoid valve 3 comprises a double-structure valve seat composed of an inside valve seat 4 and an outside valve seat 5. With the valve rubber 7 of the valve 3 raised to the highest position, a maximum amount of gas flows. With the valve rubber 7 lowered to contact the inside valve seat 4, the gas flow is the sum of the bypass flow and the flow through a small hole 6. With the valve rubber 7 lowered to a point directly before the contact with the outside valve seat 5, an intermediate amount of gas flows. With the valve rubber 7 in contact with the outside valve seat 5, no gas flows through the proportional valve portion and a minimum amount of gas flows through the bypath. With the main valve 1 closed, the gas flow is zero.
