Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the discharge current constant regradlese of disturbancs, by connecting the low voltage terminal of boosting transformer to the stabilizing plate, grounding through current detection resistor, and applying negative feedback to the input side of the boosting transformer so that the voltage generated in the current detecting circuit may be constant.
CONSTITUTION: A stabilizing plate 26 is connected to the low voltage side of high voltage output winding 19 of a boosting transformer 16 without grounding, and the current between a discharge electrode 25 and the stabilizing plate 26 is fed back to the low voltage terminal L. The current between the discharge electrode 25 and a rotary drum 27 is fed back to the low voltage side of the high voltage output winding 19 of the boosting transformer 16 after passing once through the ground and through a current detecting resistor 23. The AC component leaking to the ground from the high output side of the boosting transformer 16 through the distribution capacity is fed back to the low voltage side of the high voltage outout winding 19 through a filter capacitor 24, so that a voltage proportional to the current between the discharge electrode 25 and rotary drum 27 may be generated across the current detecting resistor 23. By comparing and amplifying this voltage and controlling the input side of the boosting transformer 16 to form a feedback loop, the current between the discharge electrode 25 and drum 27 may be kept constant regardless of the disturbance.
