Abstract

PURPOSE:To readily make light propagation characteristics of various shapes artificially by opposedly disposing a pair of lenses for creating parallel light between the optical fibers of the input side and output side and disposing a plurality of transmission mirrors, total reflecting mirrors and half mirrors between both lenses. CONSTITUTION:A pair of lenses 3, 4 for creating parallel light are opposedly disposed on the same axis between an input side optical fiber 1 and an output side optical fiber 2 and transmission mirrors 5 are provided between both lenses 3, 4. A plurality of the transmission mirrors 5 are arrayed in alignment with a slight inclination like Mfl thru Mfn, and total reflecting mirrors 6 are opposedly disposed by the same number as that of the transmission mirrors 5 like Ml thru Mn on the front side of the transmission mirrors 5, so that the light reflected by, e.g., the transmission mirror Mf1 is sent to the next transmission mirror Mf2 by the total reflecting mirror M1 and only the reflected light is subsequently fed from the transmission mirror Mfl to Mfn. Half mirrors 7 are provided larger by one like MHl thru MH(n+1) on the back of the transmission mirrors 5, so that the light transmitted through the transmission mirrors Mfl thru Mfn and the light reflected by the final total reflecting mirror Mn are collected and are entered to the lens 4.
