Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide such an apparatus which is capable of developing desired lines with the toners of desired colors by disposing plural developing devices of different colors along the pass direction of a recording medium on which latent images have been formed and controlling developing voltages.
CONSTITUTION: This is provided with an evenly charging corona discharger 3, latent image forming pin electrodes 4 (disposed through arraying of a multiplicity in the direction rectangular to the plane of the figure) and three magnetic brush type developing devices 5a, 5b, 5c having toners of respectively different colors. There are an electrode pin driving circuit 10, a printing control circuit 11 and voltage control circuits 12a, 12b, 13. When a rotary drum 2 rotates in the A direction, the latent images of character shapes are formed by the electrode pins 4 and at the same time, color signals are applied to the developing devices 5a, 5b by the printing control circuit 11. When the bias voltage necessary for toner deposition is applied after l/v time from the rotating speed v of the rotary drum 2 and the distance l between the electrode pins 4 and developing device 5a, desired color is obtained in the desired line.
