Abstract

PURPOSE: To equalize the DC level of a FM demodulation output, with a video signal track OFF, nearly to that with the track ON, by applying a pulse from an oscillator when a regenerating element is off from a recording regenerative track.
CONSTITUTION: A light beam from light source 30 strikes the recording track on disc 32 and the regenerative light of this beam is detected by photo detector 33 to generate regenerative signal B. This signal B is inputted to limiter 37 through amplifier 36. The output of limiter 37 is inputted to change-over circuit 38. Tracking command signal A is inputted via terminal 39 to gated oscillator 40. Oscillator 40 oscillates only when signal A is in a state of "tracking off". Circuit 38 is switched by signal A so that the output signal of oscillator 40 will be outputted in the state of "tracking off" and the regenerative signal from limiter 37 will be sent out in the state of "tracking on", and the output signal of circuit 38 is demodulated by FM demodulator 41.
