Abstract

CONSTITUTION: By using the charge transfer complex whose ratio of iodine and phenothiazine is 6 to 4 as the positive electrode 1, RbAg4I5 as the solid electrolyte 2, mixtures of silver powder and RbAg4I5 at a weight ratio of 8 to 2 as the negative electrode, and zirconium plate as the positive electrode collection body 4, the conductive layer 1, such as graphite powder which does not react to iodine is formed between these and the positive electrode 1. This permits the conductive layer 13 to make good contact with the positive electrode 1 even when the hard zirconium positive electrode collection body 4 is used. As a result, stable and economical batteries with high discharge voltage can be obtained.
