Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the rigidity and the mechanical strength thus to make durable for automatic assembling process of electrode boards group, by spraying specific wt % of water soluble adhesives against the mat weight on the surface of glass mat. CONSTITUTION:10-20wt% of water soluble adhesive such as gelatin, starch, etc. against the mat weight is sprayed on the glass mat where the glass fiber is reinforced by known adhesives. Consequently the rigidity and the mechanical strength are improved, and even when combined with separator as thin as 0.1-0.5mm it is durable for automatic assembling process in automatic electrode board assembling machine, while since the adhesives is desolved in the electrolyte liquid after assembling of cell, ion permeability isn't damaged.
