Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Creatinine included in a blood sample is reacted on a picric acid to obtain a creatinine concentration from the reaction speed. At this time, a reducing agent is added which does not disturb creation reaction of creatinine picrate but stops oxidation of bilirubin. An optimum reducing agent is an ascorbic acid. When the ascorbic acid is added, the picric acid is deoxidized to generate picramine. Though the spectrum of bilirubin is deformed slightly just after ascorbic acid addition, it is stabilized after.
