Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition capable of preventing development of cavities and/or multiporous state in the products, free from appearance of seizing, stain, etc., by dispersing in water a boron nitride powder, and carboxymethyl cellulose or sodium lignin sulfonate to prepare a slurry.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by making a homogeneous slurry from a mixture consisting of (A) 5W20wt% of a boron nitride powder of an average size of 0.1W10μm, (B) 0.5W10wt% of at least one sort of dispersant selected from carboxymethyl cellulose and sodium lignin sulfonate, or the same amount of a mixture of said dispersant (B) and (C) one or more sorts of dispersing agents selected from water glass, phosphates, and borates, and (D) the rest wt% of water by a ball mill or colloid mill. If the average size of said boron nitride powder exceeds 10μm, the adhesivity to mold may reduce; on the other hand, if <0.1μm, increased time may be necessary for the grinding operation. If the amount of the boron nitride powder exceeds 20wt%, peeling phenomenon may occur; whereas if <5wt%, benefits of the composition may be impaired.
