Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a correct supervisory work and measures operable for a prime mover like steam turbines, by indicating a residual life as well as outputting an alarm and trip signal, with a comparison made between frequency signal and output signal and permissible operating time of the turbine blade.
CONSTITUTION: The detected signal from a frequency detector 1 is added to an operational time integrating tester 5 through a vibration tester 2, here with a comparison made with a signal fed from an output detector 6 through an output tester 7, and an amplitude and amplitude change factor are calculated at every operational time. This result is compared with the signal of a permissible operational time integrating memory 8 by a comparator 9, and if existing a deviation, a warning is made by an alarm 3. With alarm when continued, the prime mover is tripped by a trip device 4. On the other hand, with an indicator 10 showing the actual operational time how long to last for the permissible operational time, judgement for repair or replacement of the turbine blade becomes easier.
