Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the high-accuracy diagnosis for the fault of unbalanced vibration of the rotor by detecting the unbalanced quantity.
CONSTITUTION: The following units are connected in sequence to vibration detector 5: deciding unit 6; analyzer 8 connected by phase reference signal detector 7; operator 10 connected by memory unit 9; unbalanced memory unit 11; pattern recognizer 13 connected by mode memory unit 12; and display unit 14 each. Thus the vibration is detected by detector 5 at the journal parts of bearings 4-1W4-6 when turbine rotors 1-1 and 1-2 plus generator rotor are turned. And the unbalance and the types of unbalance are obtained through operator 10 and recognizer 13 respectively to be displayed to display unit 14. Thus the unbalanced quantity does not change to the change of the rotational frequency but changes only when the fault occurs, and as a result the fault of the unbalanced vibration can be diagnosed in a high accuracy for rotors 1-1, 1-2 and 2 through monitoring of the unbalance.
