Abstract

PURPOSE: To form fluorescent dot stripe having no malfunction such as squeeze-out of fluorescent dot on a color picture tube by exposing a photosensitive film coated on a light absorptive film selectively formed by installing a wavy reflecting mirror at the outer surface of a face plate.
CONSTITUTION: A number of elements of reflecting plate pairs 10' combined by two slender reflecting plates in perpendicularly crossing manner along the longitudinal direction of black stripes are continously arranged substantially in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the openings of a shadow mask 4 to thereby prepare a reflecting plate 10, which is installed on the outer surface of a face plate 2. The light directly from an exposure light source 5 is exposed via a shadow mask 4 with a photosensitive fluorescent member 3. The light not absorbed to the fluorecent member 3 but passed through the face plate 2 is accurately reflected via a reflecting mirror 10 to predetermined black matrix holes 1 to accelerate the photo-setting reaction of the fluorescent member 3 to thereby form a fluorescent dot stripe having no malfunction such as squeeze-out, drop-out, and fog of the fluorescent dot.
