Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the transformation of the main body of a shift fork by flattening the contacting face with a coupling sleeve in a sliding part for lowering the pressure on the contacting face greatly to improve the life of the sliding part against abrasion as well as by giving convex curved parts to the outside of the nail part in the main body of the shift fork. CONSTITUTION:This shift fork 20 is provided with flat nail parts 26 constructed by coining the main body 21 with almost semicircular forked part in both ends and finishing the thickness of these parts precisely in a fixed size. Each nail is provided with a rectangular gain on its outer edge. This nair is covered with a U-shaped sliding part 28 of abrasion-resisting resin with a projection 29 to be fitted to the gain 27, and the shift fork 20 is fitted to a coupling sleeve 9 in an unillustrated transmission gear box with this sliding part 28 between. Here, facing inner sides of the sliding part 28, that is, faces to be in contact with the flat outside of the nail part 26 are shaped into convex curved surfaces 31 for attaining the expected purpose.
