Abstract
PURPOSE:Cylindrical body with bottom, grain powder or liquid thermoplastic resin is used to simply embed and fix solid body. CONSTITUTION:A globe box 1 contains a high frequency heating chamber 2, in which cooling bed 6 is installed. The cooling bed 6 supports cylindrical body 7 consisting of cylinder frame 9 and bottom plate 8 which is free to be removed. A solid sample 12 is placed on thermoplastic resin plate 11 on the bottom plate 8. The cylindrical body 7 is filled with mounting material 13 of thermoplastic resin powder such as polyethylene powder resin. Then, barrier plate 5 is opened, and high frequency is supplied from HF generator 3. This dielectrically heats the resin powder 13 and melts it. Thereafter, high frequency is stopped to cool and solidify the resin powder. Although high frequency irradiation melts the top surface of the thermoplastic resin plate 11, the bottom is unmelted due to cooling by the cooling bench 6. The operation is simple and working time is short, providing firmly fixed solid sample 12 at the center of solidified resin.
