Abstract
PURPOSE: To treat waste material effectively by a method wherein waste material is poured into a glass or ceramic container and dried by irradiating microwave and, further, microwave is irradiated to melt and solidify said waste material together with a container.
CONSTITUTION: A stock slurry obtained by pretreatment or a concentrated liquid of a liquid waste material is poured into a glass or a ceramic container. To this container, microwave is irradiated to evaporate and dry and the concentrated liquid is again poured into the container and, moreover, microwave heating is carried out. This operation is repeatedly carried out to obtain a predetermined amount of dried solid and, thereafter, microwave is irradiated to melt and solidify together with a container.
