Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a high speed constant thickness recording with controlled input voltage to heating element without increasing power requirement by determing the number of heating element for recording at a time with reference to black signals in the selected block. CONSTITUTION:Picture signal for one scanning line is divided into several blocks made of pre-determined number of signals in accordance to arrayed order on scanning lines. With thus formed block as a unit, and image signal of pre-determined amount is formed. If a block includes a black image element in image signal series, the block is selected. If the black image element exceeds the pre-determined quantity, heating element equivallent to the black image element in the above selected block is electrically driven. If not exceeding the pre-determined quantity, all of heating element equivallent to all of black signals in the block are simultaneously driven. Thereafter heating element equivallent to unrecorded black signals are electrically driven.
